Elon Musk seems to be one of those numerous people who believe that some social networks don’t support free speech. That’s a problem that former US President Donald Trump pointed out as well, which is why he developed his own social network known as Truth Social. Democratic values themselves are in favor of free speech.
The famous billionaire Elon Musk is now criticizing the wide-known platform Twitter, adding that it undermines democratic values by adopting a policy against free speech. Musk also initiated a poll, suggesting the possibility of creating a new platform.
Is a new platform needed?

Although it’s just a day old, the tweet rapidly generated a huge amount of reactions. Most people seem to agree with Musk’s view on the subject. It will be interesting to keep an eye on what Elon Musk’s new move will be, meaning if he’ll indeed start creating a new platform or not.
Here’s what Donald Trump declared not too long ago, according to a video posted on FoxBusiness.com:
The new age of censorship is a disaster for our country. Things were far better in the days when we had our debates fiercely and openly, and then we could move forward together, as Americans.
Facebook is also one of those social networks that are strongly trying to forbid any content that’s considered offensive. Pretty much anybody can consider a comment to be offensive, even though it isn’t the case, and lead to the author getting banned. If you make a joke involving people of a certain ethnic group, someone could assume that you have something against that specific group and accuse you of racism or xenophobia, which will lead to a ban from using the app, although your intention was just to say something amusing.
Otherwise, perhaps everyone agrees that social platforms are indeed very useful if you want to learn new things, show your support for specific organizations and businesses, build your own business, meet people with similar hobbies as you, and much more.
