If your New Year’s Resolution is to drop some pounds and need some help figuring out how to do it, here are some tips you’ll greatly benefit from!

The U.S. News&World Report has put together a number of different diets you may want to try out in 2023 if you want to achieve weight loss faster but also healthier.

This report has managed to find the most effective diets that will give you the results you’re looking for as quickly as possible and rank them as follows:

According to the experts, the Keto diet is the best when it comes to quick weight loss, receiving a 3.9 out of 5.0 score.

In case you are not aware, this diet is characterized by high fat and low carb content food.

The Mayo Clinic recommends including foods such as fiber-backed vegetables, Greek yogurt, seeds, nuts and oils as well as small portions of meat, eggs, and fish.

At number 2, we have the Atkins diet with a score of 3.6 out of 5.0.

If you’re planning on following this diet, you should eat plenty of beef, eggs, poultry and fish as well as butter, cheese and nonstarchy vegetables.

Two weeks into it, it’s also recommended to add some fruit like melons, berries and cherries but also nuts and seeds of all kinds.

As for the foods you should avoid, make sure to eat little to no yogurt, milk, lentils, grains, starchy vegetables, and sugary, processed foods.

Also in second place with a score of 3.6 out of 5.0 are the OPTAVIA Diet and the SlimFast Diet!

OPTAVIA, explains the U.S. News&World Report, focuses on low carb and low calorie weight loss, putting major emphasis on prepackaged foods that contain no artificial flavors, coloring or sweeteners.

There are three different programs you can choose from based on your own preferences, each of them highlighting the so called Habits of Health Transformational System – motion, eating and hydration, weight, sleep, surroundings and mind.

Finally, the SlimFast diet is the ideal one for you if you wish to drop about 20 pounds in around 8 to 10 weeks, according to the report.

As for the way it works, SlimFast focuses on “meal replacement products” such as shakes.

Their website reads that “Weight management should fit your life, not to BE your life—it should meet you right where you are, support all your goals, deliver results, and taste great doing it. SlimFast makes this journey possible for anyone.”
