The most spectacular blood moon ever will take place on July 27th. While the majority of people will happily observe the rare cosmic phenomenon, the so-called “religious doomsdayers” will get ready for the end of days. And that because on July 27th will be the longest lunar eclipse of the century and that’s a sign that the Apocalypse is coming, according to some.

The spectacular blood moon on July 27th would indicate that the end of days is near, say two Christian ministers

John Hagee and Mark Biltz, two renowned Chrisitan ministers, theorized that the end of days would occur, as predicted in the Bible in Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12, if a particular sequence of 4 consecutive lunar eclipses with precisely six full moons in between will be accomplished. And that sequence had already started in April 2014, the two ministers admitted.

The Book of Joel reads that “the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.” Similarly, in Revelations, there is said that “when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.”

Therefore, the two before-mentioned ministers came up with the hypothesis that the upcoming blood moon would indicate that a very tragic phenomenon would take place on Earth.

The theory that the next spectacular blood moon will bring the end of days has spread fast on the Internet.

What is a blood moon?

During full lunar eclipses, the planet Earth transits precisely between the Sun and the Moon blocking the sunlight to reach the lunar surface. As the sunlight coming from the Sun hits the Earth atmosphere, a part of the Earth’s sunrises and sunsets lights falls on the Moon’s surface, and because the light waves are stretched they appear reddish.

Therefore, a blood moon can only appear during full lunar eclipses.

However, what’s particular about the upcoming lunar eclipse on July 27th is that this one would be the longest moon eclipse in the 21st century. According to the scientists, this full lunar eclipse will last one hour and 43 minutes and will be visible from Europe, Asia, Australia, southern parts of North America, and South America.

As for the link between this blood moon and the end of days, the astronomers consider it a myth as there cannot be any connection between a cosmic event like this one and the Apocalypse.
