Surely any astronaut, astronomer, astrophysicist, or even many average people have always been dreaming of colonizing planet Mars. Unfortunately, our planet is far from being all sugar, spice, and everything nice. We’re all aware of the wars, corruption, poverty, diseases, deaths, floods, volcanoes, earthquakes, and especially the commercials and ads.

Jokes aside, for now! If we can’t go to Mars yet, we might as well simulate such an ambitious journey through video games. And who knows, maybe those games can teach those smart guys from NASA a thing or two! One game of such kind is ‘Occupy Mars: The Game,’ a title developed and published by Pyramid Games that will arrive on the market very soon.

‘Occupy Mars: The Game’ launches on May 10

‘Occupy Mars: The Game’ is the game that many gamers and astronomy enthusiasts wanted: it allows players to explore the Martian environment and try to build a colony there. It won’t be easy, as it could turn out to be even more difficult than it already is in reality. So far, no astronomer has figured out exactly how to land the first astronaut on Mars. Therefore, building a colony there is even more difficult.

Jonas Ek explained via TGG:

The Warsaw-based (Poland) PlayWay S.A and Lublin-based (Poland) indie games developer Pyramid Games, are today very happy and excited to announce that their highly technical, open-world sandbox, survival game “Occupy Mars: The Game”, is coming to PC via Early Access (through Steam GOG, and EGS) on May 10th, 2023.

Apart from the availability on the PC, ‘Occupy Mars: The Game’ will also become available for Android devices. This means that you’ll have the chance to become the first Martian even while you’re on the go, not only when you’re at your desk.
