The Russian national space enterprise “Kosmokurs” informed that all interested persons will be able to fly into space as the first Russian tourist flight to space is officially scheduled for 2025.
The First Test-Launch Is Set For 2023
The general manager of the enterprise, Pavel Pushkin, informed that the first prototype will be launched into space in 2023. Then, tourists will be able to visit space in 2025.
“Kosmokurs” is working on the development of a reusable complex for subordinate its flights. For such trips in the outer space, rockets weighing 80 tons are already under development, as well as a ship weighing 7 tons is also.
Besides, Pavel Pushkin told the testing of such a rocket will happen by the end of 2022, when will also take place the tests of the descending capsule.
A single ticket to the future tourist flight to space will cost $250,000
The cost of this program, from the very beginning to the first launch of tourists flights, will cost about $200 million. The first flight is scheduled to last only 14 minutes. and on board the ship there will be only six tourists and one astronaut.
The touristic spacecraft will rise to a height of 220 kilometers and will remain in zero-gravity for approximately 5.5 minutes.
