If you’re like most people out there, surely you’ve searched for many years in vain for the life partner you need. People are complicated, not to mention their relationships. Therefore, why not ‘go pro’ with having a robot as a life partner? After all, it sounds like a reasonable purpose for the technological world we live in today.
As wild as it sounds, that’s what Elon Musk could create in the future, as it results from a recent conversation that the famous billionaire had with Chris Anderson from TED. Humanoid robots don’t represent anything new, but their potential of expanding their ways to help people might be without boundaries. And, of course, the machines might also become loyal and trustful life partners, as the same interview pointed out.
It may be inevitable
It’s clear that humanoid robots aren’t exactly at a desirable level in the present. But the good news is that scientists are still looking for ways to improve them.
Elon Musk was asked if robots could play the role of a life partner or sexual machine, and he replied, as Futurism.com quotes:
It’s probably inevitable,
I mean, I did promise the internet that I’d make catgirls,
We could make a robot catgirl.
By ‘catgirl,’ Elon Musk means a robot that resembles a woman but has some characteristics of a cat: whiskers, cat ears, and more. The top businessman spoke about catgirls before, adding, more or less seriously, that a future Tesla software might play a crucial role in developing catgirls.
Elon Musk has been on the front row news in recent years for initiating and proposing numerous ambitious projects. He now aims to buy Twitter, he has been implementing the Starlink satellites for providing broadband internet access to remote parts of the world, and last but not least: he’s looking for ways of sending humans to Mars. Therefore, we have to believe Musk when it comes to the possibility of creating sex robots.
