Windows were shattered, buildings got damaged, and a lot of people were scared to death after a huge explosion occurred at a chemical factory in Taiyuan, a city in China. Firefighters fulfilled their duty very well, as they managed to put out the fire. However, the human toll remains unclear.

The accident took place on Monday, November 21, and it caused many residents to start panicking and run into the streets, terrified by the blast. The event also took place at about 5:25 pm, meaning when it wasn’t too late for people to be tucked in beds. The location of the accident was represented by Jiancaoping District, Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, to be more precise. Many homes were left without windows due to the shockwave of the explosion.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the massive explosion. The same factory has exploded before.

Taiyuan is both the capital and largest city of the Shanxi Province of China. The city covers an area of 6,956 square kilometers, and it represents the political, cultural, economic, and international exchange center of the Shanxi Province. Approximately 4 million people live in Taiyuan in 2022.

Shanxi, on the other hand, is a plateau province located in North China. It covers an area of 156,000 square kilometers, and it also represents a leading producer of coal in the Asian country. Shanxi possesses about a third of the total coal deposits of China.

Hopefully, we’ll find out more about the accident in Taiyuan soon enough, so stay tuned and let’s hope that everyone will be fine!
