Astronomers Uncover the Mystery Behind the ‘Cube’ From the Moon – An Alien Structure or Not?

Could there be any aliens living on the Moon? Astronomers always ask themselves this question. A mysterious structure discovered on our natural satellite about a month ago by the Yutu-2 Chinese rover made everyone suspect that an alien setting might have been finally found.

As for now, astronomers finally uncovered the truth behind what’s really happening on the Moon. And all those of you who were hoping that advanced alien civilizations live right “next-door” will clearly be disappointed.

It’s just a rabbit-shaped rock

According to Insider, what the Yutu-2 Chinese rover found on the Moon is nothing more than a simple rock that has the shape of a rabbit. A better photo was taken at the structure by the rover itself to uncover the truth.

However, astronomers weren’t too confident that they’d discovered an alien base on our natural satellite, either.

Here’s what Andrew Jones was saying via Twitter at the moment of the discovery, back at the time:

Ah. We have an update from Yutu-2 on the lunar far side, including an image of a cubic shape on the northern horizon ~80m away from the rover in Von Kármán crater. Referred to as “神秘小屋” (“mystery house”), the next 2-3 lunar days will be spent getting closer to check it out.

If everything goes as planned during the Artemis mission, NASA will send humans to the surface of the Moon once again after about half a century. The mission is expected to start in a few years, and the next phase will be to send the first humans to Mars.

Although no aliens had been discovered this time, there’s no use losing faith just yet. Maybe some green friends are dwelling on the Moon after all, and nobody has ever seen any compelling evidence for their existence.
