It’s no secret that racism in America went off the charts recently. Racial profiling, ethnically-motivated violence, and police brutality are at an all-time high again, and Trump being elected as president isn’t the only factor to blame here. However, we did not expect Canada to follow in the same footsteps, but this, unfortunately, has been the case at a Mississauga clinic.

A woman walked into the clinic and demanded the assistance of a ‘white doctor’ who ‘speaks English’, leaving many people in the waiting room shocked and frankly a bit disgusted. Fortunately, the entire thing has been filmed by an onlooker, in case you didn’t believe these things still happen in 2017.

You can watch the video of the entire occurrence below.

The Woman’s Unbelievable Behavior

As it can be heard in the video, the woman uttered the following question: “Can I see a doctor, please, that’s white, that doesn’t have brown teeth and speaks English?” First and foremost it needs to be noted that she can’t speak proper English herself, which makes her request all the more shocking and appalling. Also we don’t get what her stereotype of choice is. Does she hate everyone that can’t speak English equally or does she have a bone to pick with only doctors of certain ethnicities?

Also, what’s up with the bad teeth thing? The British are the ones notorious for having bad teeth, and they invented the language, so she couldn’t have been referencing them, right? Frankly, we don’t even want to know what her deal is. The main lesson to learn here is the following: kids, never be bigots, and never ask people to do something that you yourself aren’t capable with. Other than that, this whole thing is both funny and sad at the same time.
