The US FDA has discovered that a e-cigarettes company, HelloCig, is selling vape liquid enriched with erectile dysfunction drugs. Even though the e-cigs firm did not hide the fact that one of its products contains the active substance from Cialis, they misled their clients into thinking that the respective vape juice is FDA-approved.
The product in question is E-Cialis HelloCig E-Liquid, presented on the HelloCig website by an image boasting the vaping liquid and two packs of Cialis pills. Also, the company sells another product named as Rimonabant, an anti-obesity drug banned across Europe. However, this vape liquid is not containing the Rimonabant substance, but it’s presenting sildenafil, the active ingredient of Viagra, one of the most popular erectile dysfunction drugs.
The US FDA warned the company to stop selling the respective products within 15 days, or the business might face an injunction or seizure. Also, according to the FDA, HelloCig products are illegal since FDA is not approving vaping as a reliable administration way for prescription drugs.
Vape Liquid Containing Erectile Dysfunction Drugs Under Investigation By The FDA
Even though this situation is at least worrisome, the FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb is more worried about e-cigarettes use among teens, which he calls as “epidemic,” than he is concerned about the HelloCig vape liquid containing erectile dysfunction drugs.
At the moment, the FDA is working on advertisements and awareness campaigns regarding e-cigs flavorings, hoping to help the youth ditch vaping. Maybe that’s how they accidentally let the HelloCig vape liquid with erectile dysfunction drugs, such as Cialis and Viagra, go on the market.
Although the FDA warned HelloCig to remove the before-mentioned products from its list, the company, which locates itself as “headquartered in the beautiful city of China,” is still selling the vape liquid containing erectile dysfunction drugs, Viagra and Cialis.
