It’s almost Christmas, and we all know what that means. Binge-watching your favorite Tv show or movie! Either you gather around your whole family and watch Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone, or you prefer to spend quality time with Khaleesi, you are going to have fun using Netflix. And from now on, you’ll use it in a smart way. We all know that when we finish a really good series and we wonder what’s gonna happen with our lives, it’s pretty hard to find another series to capture our attention. We get it, and the easiest way to find a new series is to take a look at the recommendations and suggestions, either based on what other people have watched, or on what you’ve watched. And this is the first step to this great journey.

So brace yourself, because I’m about to make your life easier.

  1. Choose Netflix Roulette and take a risk: watch something random

Yes, I’m aware of how that sounds. What if you waste your time with something you don’t like, just because Netflix chose it for you? But what if you don’t? There are lots and lots of movies and tv series. Lots of them released this year. You cannot watch them all even if you want. Not all of them are good, though, that’s true. I personally use IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes to make sure it will be worth my time. And that’s what Netflix Roulette does, too! Reelgood website thought it would be a good idea to choose movies based on their score on IMDb – you just have to pick the genre. It cannot be easier than that.

  1. Change the way you read it.

You can forget about the ol’ boring pale white subtitle. You can now have a pink with a chance of green subtitle, just by accessing subtitle preferences. Here’s a funny idea: depending on what you’re watching, change the font of the subtitle. If you’re watching Psycho, use bright red, you know, cause of the blood. Or don’t do that, it is kind of creepy.

  1. Help your eyes help you: use HD

This is a tricky one, considering the fact that Netflix doesn’t automatically choose the high-definition box, although it should, especially if you already paid for this feature. Enter the HD toggle link and select the quality depending on what you’re willing to pay.

  1. Change speed video with Super Netflix

Are you ready for very good news? It’s free. And available in the Chrome store. I think we all know what it’s like to want to watch a movie, and don’t watch it at the same time. Here’s the solution for your problem: Change the speed and see what happens faster!

If you want to go back in time, you can also use this super feature of Super Netflix: the black & white one. Watch how Sam and Dean fight demons in an old-fashioned way!

  1. Get the app and watch directly on your phone

You can use it while staying comfortably under the warm blanket. Or in the train. On your way to work. Everywhere, really.  Lucky to be alive in this time of the universe.

  1. Gotta delete ‘em all.

You know that Netflix lets you get the shows and movies by simply use the click to download them. You also know that if you’re really good friends with someone, you two can pay 50-50 to enjoy movies and tv shows monthly. But what if you don’t want your friend to know you haven’t slept last night because you were curious what happened with Blair and Chuck?

You can access viewing activity page and delete whatever is it that makes you feel weird.

  1. Careful at the hours: watch it when you least expect it

This is actually a very useful hack: if you want to enjoy this app at its best, try watching it when everyone else is asleep. Yes, you may lose some sleep. But I guarantee it’s worth it.
