Honda 2017 Civic Type R Beats Pagani Zonda, Audi R8 and Porsche 911 Among Others

As every car lover already knows, Nurburgring is a 150,000 capacity motorsports complex which can be found in the city of Nurburg, Germany. Honda is the company that’s been ruling supreme around the Nurburgring complex for the past few years. In fact, Honda’s latest Civic Type R has already been crowned as the fastest front wheel drive car around the Nurburgring.

Nurburging Lap Records

The previous Honda Civic Type R model managed to set the lap record of 7:50.53, but that record was then took over by Volkswagen’s Golf GTI Clubsport S model which managed to complete a lap in the time frame of 7.47.19. However now that the new Civic Type R model is out, Honda is once again the king of Nurburging. Nonetheless, today we’re going to present the top four cars which will pale in comparison with Honda’s achievements.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06

When this model first came out it was the fastest Chevrolet car ever made. Corvette C6 Z06 has 505 hp beneath its hood which are powering a 7.0 liter V8 engine. The car managed to finish the Nurburging race in just 7:49 on the date of June 22nd, 2007.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS (966)

Porsche’s 911 model is the most popular car ever made. The car has been featured in a great number of movies but its fame doesn’t stop there. Porsche 911 GT3 RS (966) used to hold the fastest Nurburging lap time but that ended when Lamborghini Huracan Performante was launched. Nonetheless, the Porsche car still boasts with a 7:47 lap time.

Pagani Zonda S

What car list would be complete without a Pagani? This exotic car is considered as being the crème of the crop in the car industry and it managed to set a record lap of 7:40 on February of 2005. The car’s huge 7.0 liter AMG engine which features 540 hp surely helped it set that record.

Audi R8 V10

Car lovers have been left in awe ever since Audi introduced the R8 model. The car’s design is something truly special but what really sets it apart is its 5.2 liter V10 engine which boasts with 525 hp. Audi’s car has managed to finish the race in cause in just 7:44.
