Square Enix had a lot to work lately on the last Final Fantasy title. However, Kingdom Hearts 3 is their other major title which might be released by the end of the year.
About Kingdom Hearts Franchise
Kingdom Hearts is a hack and slash action role-playing game which has been at first released in 2002 for PlayStation 2.
Back then, the game combined in a very appreciated manner action role-playing characteristics with Final Fantasy and Disney elements. Besides these, the game has also had a lot of hack and slash action.
3 years later, Kingdom Hearts 2 was released, also exclusively for PS2. The game, very similar to its predecessor, it followed the same storyline.
The 2nd title of the series was followed by Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix which was released for PlayStation 3 and then was also ported to PlayStation 4.
Then, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue was released in 2017.
New features in Kingdom Hearts 3
Square Enix announced they’re developing Kingdom Hearts 3 some time ago but didn’t give a clear release date.
However, some details regarding the gameplay have been offered.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will follow the franchise’s specific characteristics but its gameplay will resemble the one of the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance title which was available on Nintendo 3DS.
Sora, the main character in the series will also play the main role in the Kingdom Hearts 3 title and will be joined in the action by the same funny Disney characters.
Main new features include:
- New enemies;
- Wall running and jumping;
- Summons;
- Combined attacks;
Square Enix will announce Kingdom Hearts 3 release this summer
Square Enix representatives stated that they will announce an official release date for the future title of their Kingdom Hearts franchise during this year’s E3. The 2018 E3 will be held in June.
Thus, at that time we’ll also get some Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay trailers and more info on the game storyline and gameplay.
Additionally, Kingdom Hearts 3 is possible to be released by the end of the year.
