A lot of people enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning to give us the boost we need, and some people usually love the way it tastes. Coffee is healthy and studies show that coffee drinkers can live longer. But what happens when that boost for your brain is also a boost for your other body parts?

Bestherbs Coffee LLC recalled their coffee blend because it contained an active ingredient which is found in Viagra. While some of you might not be appalled by this fact there are some issues regarding your health.

The Food and Drug Administration said that this is not a declared ingredient on the package and might interact with prescription drugs that contain nitrates. This ingredient is derived from the root of a Malaysian tree and is claimed to be a male enhancer. But for people who take nitrate such as nitroglycerin, people with diabetes, heart disease or a high blood pressure, this coffee is a dangerous beverage.

Another ingredient that has been found and not listed on the package is milk and for people with milk allergies, the product could be life-threatening.

If you find “New of Kopi Jantan Transitional Natural Herbs Coffee” on the market, be cautious and tell the store manager that the product is supposed to be off the shelves, according to the FDA.

If you are wondering why this risky product is on the market, then we have an answer. The coffee was listed as a herbal supplement at the customs. If this product used the terms “proprietary blend”, the maker doesn’t have to list all the ingredients on the package.

After it was sold online for almost two years, FDA announced that the company has voluntarily recalled the product after testing and realizing it contained ingredients that weren’t declared on the package.

Now we’re wondering how many of you would drink a coffee that contained Viagra if it was safe to consume.
