2018 Audi S5 – Pros And Cons

The new two-door 2018 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet models are improvements of the S4, a shabby but a more practical sedan. Both the 208 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet models bring a better performance with a better-looking design but miss the ride smoothness that would make anyone more than happy to buy one of the two models.

The new 2018 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet is sportiness in its purest form, according to the manufacturers, while they also are upgraded to the new safety and technological demands. The 3.0 TFSI V6 engine with 354 hp powers the new Audi S5 models which will reach 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. The new Audi S5 models will come with automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive.

From the distinctive front bars and the specific S-sign of the double-sided radiator grille to the aluminum-looking like side mirror and the S5 Badge, each part of the design has been redesigned and upgraded.

The new Audi Matrix LED front headlamp gives you a dynamic look even when the car stays in place.

The optional Audi virtual cockpit system is both varied and innovative. With navigation, phone integration, music, Audi connectivity, and guidance on support systems, the 12.3-inch LCD displays all the information with great clarity.

However, the new 2018 Audi S5 models come with small trunks, Audi engineers focusing more on design and performance than on creating spacious models.

Fortunately, the fuel consumption of the new Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet is not at all characteristic of a 354 hp engine being, in fact, as economical as the 186 hp engine on the Mini Cooper S Clubman, scoring better EPA ratings than the Mercedes AMG C43 Coupe and Cabriolet models and the Infinity Q60 Red Sport 400.

Pros:

  • Quality material used;
  • Powerful engine
  • Impressive design;
  • Performant board computer;

Cons:

  • Small trunk;
  • Small back seat space;

The bottom line is that despite the new 2018 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet models have a new breathtaking design and powerful engine, there’s something lacking in the performance and ride smoothness aspects, facts that can be found at the competitors.
