The American Mervin Haley is suffering from stage four lung cancer and it was told by his doctors that he will only have three more months to live. However, this wasn’t the only bad news he got, lately, as his landlord announced him he’ll be evicted if not paying his debt of $1500 in full.

Mervin can’t move without aid and any contact with cold air from the outside can kill him. He had a $500 past-due to his rent to which supplementary fees have been added summing up the debt amount to $1500. His family tried to gather the money in time but no success with that and plead for a postponing of the payment.

Mervin’s ex-wife, Denise Haley, is the one who takes care of him in his last moments of life. She said that Mervin is not able to eat alone, drink, talk, or walk and that going outside of his house can kill him instantly or shorten the time he has left. Besides, Mervin’s last wish was to be let to die in his house.

Denise took initiative and presented her ex-husband situation in a letter she sent to the leasing manager, asking for another payment arrangement that could permit Mervin to stay inside his house until his passes on. Unfortunately, she got no answer from the leasing manager, yet.

Mervin Haley is scheduled for eviction on today, Sunday, at 6 PM local time but if he will not leave his house at the set time, then on Monday he will be forced to leave by the Police officers. Denise, his ex-wife, is still hoping that the reschedule of the payment will be set on Monday morning and that Mervin will be permitted to stay in order to live his lasts months of life in his house as he wished for.
