The problem of excessive weight is a popular one, but most people find weight loss too stressful and complicated to even make a try. Strict dieting, regular workouts, skin care procedures, healthy habits seem so overwhelming. One of the most popular questions and google requests is “lose weight no diet”. But is it possible?

To be honest, strict diets never help you to shed weight, in the long run. So, one of the best things you can do to lose weight is to forget about strict calorie limiting diets forever. What a pleasant surprise! But this sounds counterintuitive, doesn’t it? If strict diets do not work, how all this stuff works anyways?

Firstly, it all depends on your goals. If you want to get ready for sister’s wedding in a week, a strict diet will make you thinner and lighter, quickly. However, immediately after you drop it and come back to your regular regimen, your weight will start to grow. High chances are you will gain even more than you had before you started the diet. On the other hand, if you want to maintain lifelong relationships, visit website and find the love of your life, and impress him or her with perfect looks, it is better to take a more strategic approach.

Why Limiting Calories is Useless?

The main reason why following strict diets sends you into weight yo-yo spin is limiting calories abruptly. Firstly, the body is shocked and, of course, it starts burning its own fat to cover the energy needs. However, as soon as the body finds out you intend to continue, it will immediately cut the energy consumption exactly to the level of energy it acquires with food. For you, it means that in a week or two, even the most limiting diet stops working.

Secondly, as soon as you return to your normal eating habits, you will start gaining weight, because the body – surprise! – still uses the limited energy burning scheme, being afraid the hunger will repeat. Therefore, every excess calorie you eat will be saved.

What Works?

Only healthy eating, over a long period of time, works effectively for weight loss. Here, quick methods do more harm than good. If you really want to lose weight, you will have to work on your health and develop a range of habits on eating and workout.

Today, some of the most popular weight loss eating modes are ketogenic diet and vegetarian diet. The ketogenic diet is good for people with the risk of diabetes or cancer. It limits the number of carbohydrates in food, and the body is forced to burn only fats for its energy needs. It is also good for health for cutting sugar intake.

Vegetarian diet, on the other hand, cuts animal products, which means fewer fats, fewer animal hormones, healthier gut, more fiber and vitamins in food. A vegetarian diet provides loads of energy and helps to live longer, at the same time reducing weight.

So, instead of quick fixes, choose a long term strategy, and your weight loss will be successful!
