A child – of 11 years old – has become one of the youngest-ever college graduates. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Belgium’s University of Antwerp. He finished his studies in just one year, instead of three, as it happens normally.

His name is Laurent Simons, and he graduated with an 85% – and the entire world is both proud and surprised. Back in 2019, he dropped out of the Netherlands’ Eindhoven University – at the age of 9. He did it because officials did not allow him to graduate until he reached the age of 10.

Simons stated: “I don’t really care if I’m the youngest […] it’s all about getting knowledge for me. This is the first puzzle piece in my goal of replacing body parts with mechanical parts. Immortality is my goal. I want to be able to replace as many body parts as possible with mechanical parts. I’ve mapped out a path to get there. You can see it as a big puzzle. Quantum physics — the study of the smallest particles — is the first piece of the puzzle.”

He wants to work with the best professors in the entire world. He also wants to find out how they think. Simons graduated with 85%, which is the highest distinction, according to a spokesperson for Antwerp University.

Moreover, he also took some courses from the master’s program, and in autumn, he will start his master’s degree. He has an Instagram account that has more than 51.000 followers, which is a huge fanbase. The boy’s brand will definitely grow up beautifully and without any troubles.

Here’s to young, intelligent minds, here’s to changing the world for the better!
