A healthy lifestyle has always had its link with an excellent educational process and results. Hence, it’s a subject that should be taught and instilled in all students across different academic stages. Many times it’s difficult for students to realize that they’re going to put what they’ve learned into practice because of peer pressure, family environment, and their social life outside of school.
However, one of the most effective ways to improve your marks in tests and exams is to improve and live a healthy lifestyle. This helps to increase your interest in subjects and hence, improve results.
You need to focus on some factors to positively influence your ability to learn new information and retain it in your memory. These factors are:

Although some schools may have lifestyle education classes, the importance of this should be more than occasional dedicated classes. It should be taught and embedded in almost all subjects to improve the message of healthy lifestyle choices.
There are several ways to get across the importance of nutrition. Marketing messages, nutritional values on the packaging, and government-backed information about a balanced diet being the right way for people to live make this topic easy to teach students of all ages.
However, the easy accessibility of fast foods, processed meals, and low-priced snacks often override the good works done to preach the message of healthy living. The main message for students across all classes is that the brain has the necessary energy to function appropriately with a healthy diet. Eat small portions of meals regularly, and your blood glucose level doesn’t fluctuate to extreme levels.
For many students, school exercise is a love-hate relationship. For people that look forward to PE in school every week, there’s a high probability that they would carry on with some form of sporting activities after leaving school. This increases their normal exercise level. However, students who aren’t sport-minded have a higher risk of suffering from blood not flowing sufficiently to their brains. This increases their anxiety levels and mood swings. Consequently, this affects their ability to focus and concentrate in the classroom and learn and retain knowledge.
There are also several health consequences related to a lack of exercise. It often leads to weight gain and increases the risk of suffering long-term medical conditions such as chronic heart diseases and diabetes.
It may not be easy to find sporting activities that fit into the school curriculum and resources, especially if it’s enjoyable for the whole class. However, with pupil feedback, you may be able to persuade other people that resist taking part in school exercises to join these activities. For instance, they may be persuaded to join an after-school club if there are more calls for one within a sport that isn’t part of the daily curriculum.

Students with a group of friends with a positive outlook on life and good ethical values have a higher likelihood of succeeding in their academic pursuits.
Unfortunately, young adults and children must battle many distractions, including alcohol use, drug abuse, and cigarettes. Hence teachers have to teach them to embed certain positive activities around them and not to become victims of peer pressure. This means they have to consider their choice of friends and choose those that will help them in positive ways.
In the busy world that we’re in today, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is difficult even for adults, let alone children. Many products advertised to us as being healthy are not healthy in reality. Also, we all have to face heavy workloads that are very challenging and leave little to no time to cook for ourselves, rest early regularly, or take a walk in the park. However, children must be allowed to learn positive messages, develop a positive mentality and learn the objectives embedded during their time in school every day. Hence, we have to keep advising, guiding and informing them about making healthy life choices to grow and further their lives.
