Having high blood pressure (aka hypertension) can be dangerous for your health. The heart is automatically forced to work harder in order to pump up blood to the rest of your body. The left ventricle will thus get thickened, which increases the risk of very dangerous conditions such as a heart attack or heart failure.

You can suddenly become forced to take meds for treating your hypertension. Keeping that blood pressure at acceptable levels is practically mandatory. But the good news is that there’s a chance of doing so even without engulfing any pills.

Eating at least four types of protein weekly can make you 66% less likely to deal with high blood pressure

EatingWell.com writes about a new study that analyzed over 12,000 participants.

The surprising conclusion was that those participants who consumed at least four types of protein had 66% fewer chances of having high blood pressure than the ones who ate just two or even fewer types of protein.

Xianhui Qin, M.D., the author of the study, declared:

The heart health message is that consuming a balanced diet with proteins from various different sources, rather than focusing on a single source of dietary protein, may help to prevent the development of high blood pressure.
