The world is anxiously waiting for viable treatments and vaccines that could put an end to this whole nightmare in which we all woke up this year.
There’s been a lot of work going on in order to find treatments for the COVID-19 symptoms and also to find a vaccine.
The good news is that it’s been revealed that we could have a vaccine ready this year.
CNBC just reported that President Donald Trump said just the other day that the U.S. may have a coronavirus vaccine available to the public ahead of the administration’s goal of the end of the year or early 2021.
The US has the worst coronavirus outbreak in the world
CNBC just revealed that White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci agreed on Wednesday that the US has the worst coronavirus outbreak in the whole world.
“Yeah, it is quantitatively if you look at it, it is. I mean the numbers don’t lie,” Fauci said during an interview with CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta. This was Fauci’s response to the question whether the U.S. had the world’s worst coronavirus outbreak.
It’s important to note the fact that the U.S. which accounts for less than 5% of the world population, is leading all other countries in global coronavirus infections and deaths.
The same online publication notes that the nation represents more than 22% of global coronavirus deaths and more than 25% of infections – Johns Hopkins University data.
“Every country has suffered. We, the United States, have suffered … as much or worse than anyone,” Fauci said.
He explained, “I mean when you look at the number of infections and the number of deaths, it really is quite concerning.”
