Officials and many people had been complaining about those who are reluctant when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines. While we’re not here to condemn anyone, those who were disappointed about the population’s negative perception now have reasons to be more satisfied.

According to CBS News, new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals that about two times more people from the US are receiving the first dose of a COVID vaccine compared to last month.

441,198 vaccinations each day

Every day across the US, an average number of 441,198 new vaccine doses are being administered as of August 5, as figures released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveal. The number represents an increase of 95% from the 226,209 average number of vaccine doses for a month prior, on July 5.

According to the figures from the CDC from July 22, the average pace of new vaccinations across Alabama has increased more than 100%. This is indeed staggering, considering that Alabama has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the US. Louisianna has shown the next largest increase, as the first doses of COVID vaccines have reached 84%.

President Joe Biden declared as quoted by CBS News:

Look, I understand that there are millions of people who decided — adults — who decided not to get vaccinated. And I understand that to badger those folks is not likely to get them to move and get vaccinated,

But I also understand that the reason children are becoming infected is because, in most cases, they live in low-vaccination-rate states and communities, and they’re getting it from unvaccinated adults,

And so, my plea is that for those who are not vaccinated: Think about it.

According to statistics published by Our World in Data, over half of the USA population (50.8%, to be more precise) has been fully vaccinated for COVID.
