Back in January, Joe Biden became the 46th President of the world’s most affected country by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the USA deals with lower numbers of infections with the virus in the last few days, and the ongoing vaccination campaign could be one of the reasons. Over 44 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were given in the country, according to data from Bloomberg.

But we all know how things usually go in life: you cannot convince absolutely every one of pretty much anything. As CNBC.com reveals, infectious disease experts and public health officials warn about the impending danger of a major part of the US population refusing the COVID-19 vaccine.

Joe Biden prepares to accelerate the supply of COVID-19 vaccines

Joe Biden is known as a passionate supporter of anti-COVID measures, and he adds a lot of faith in the vaccination campaign. But even so, a lot of Americans don’t share his views. A recent study from CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) reveals that only 39.4% of American adults surveyed in September said they are very likely to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Experts say that a minimum of 70% to 80% of the population needs to get vaccinated so that the coronavirus will be suppressed.

Borger, a self-described anti-vaxxer of 50 years old and who suffers from chronic bronchitis, declared for CNBC:

I’m not a believer in the flu shot, either. I just think that our body needs to fight off things naturally,

I mean, like me, you know, luckily I survived. It was bad, but I survived.

Worldometers.info reveals that until now, over 480,000 Americans died because of COVID-19, and the number will still go up. As for the total number of infections with the coronavirus, it exceeds 27.8 million cases.
