Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Speaks Up About the Claims That Putin Might Be Suffering From a Terminal Illness

Recent speculations flooded the internet, raising the possibility that Russian President Vladimir Putin is suffering from a terminal illness such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease, or something else. The claim was fueled by Putin apparently looking sick in several public appearances, as well as what a top oligarch whose identity wasn’t revealed, might have declared.

Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, now comes to shatter the dreams of numerous people who were hoping that Vladimir Putin’s health state is declining fast.

Lavrov says Putin is OK

Sergey Lavrov denied Putin’s supposed deteriorating health status. He even suggested that the Russian leader is as healthy as he can be. Whether we believe the Russian Foreign Minister or not it’s only up to us.

Here’s what Lavrov said for TF1, a French TV network, as Futurism.com quotes:

I don’t think sane people can discern any sort of symptom of disease in this man.

Lavrov invoked daily public appearances of Putin as well as his speeches as proof that the Russian President is fine.

Vladimir Putin’s decision to start the war in Ukraine has infuriated many people, making the Russian President one of the most despised political leaders on Earth.

The oligarch claiming a while ago that Putin is suffering from cancer also said the following, as the Mirror publication quotes:

He absolutely ruined Russia ’s economy, Ukraine ’s economy and many other economies — ruined [them] absolutely,

The problem is with his head. … One crazy guy can turn the world upside down.

Last but not least, Putin’s face appearing a little swelled gave more reason for some sources to speculate that the leader might be suffering from a serious disease. Of course, a more simple explanation would be that Putin has just been through plastic surgery.
