Joe Biden made many people worried a few days ago when he tested positive for COVID. Despite the fact that the US President is 79 years old, it was known from the start that he has a high chance of getting rid of the infection with ease – he’s fully vaccinated and ‘boosted.’

And it happened likewise! After receiving treatment with the antiviral drug Paxlovid, Joe Biden is now ready to come back to work in person! According to CNN, the US President has tested negative for the coronavirus.

Joe Biden was thankful for the vaccines and medications used for his recovery. He confirms that what he went through was just a mild case of COVID. He even made a comparison with the former US President, Donald Trump, who was infected with the coronavirus in late 2020. Biden said, as CNN also quotes:

When my predecessor got Covid, he had to get helicoptered to Walter Reed Medical Center. He was severely ill; thankfully, he recovered. When I got Covid, I worked from upstairs of the White House and the offices upstairs … for a five-day period.

The current US President also added, as the same source quotes:

The difference is vaccinations, of course. But also new three new tools free to all and widely available. You don’t need to be President to get these tools to use for your defense. In fact, the same booster shots, the same at-home test, the same treatment that I got, is available to you. My administration made sure that all Americans across the country, from all walks of life, have free access to those tools.

The BA.5 Omicron subvariant is what’s currently causing an increase in COVID infections across the world. We all must be aware of the symptoms that BA.5 can cause.
