Joe Biden Announces That the COVID Pandemic is Over

Joe Biden has been proven to be very preoccupied with the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions and measures that were imposed to overcome it. Say what you want about him, but the US President is, by definition, one of the most well-informed people on the planet.

According to The Washington Post, Joe Biden brought the big news that everybody has been waiting for: the COVID pandemic is over. However, there is a catch, as you know what they say that you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

There is still a problem with COVID

The US President issued the following statement on “60 Minutes:”

We still have a problem with covid,

We’re still doing a lot of work on it … but the pandemic is over.

Speaking to Scott Pelley, a reporter of CBS News, Joe Biden also said, as The Washington Post quotes:

If you notice, no one’s wearing masks,

Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it’s changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it.

The US President’s statements are well-aligned with those of the World Health Organization (WHO) that were revealed just a few days ago. Through the voice of Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the government agency stated that the end of the coronavirus pandemic is “in sight.”

If we take a look at the statistics revealed by, we easily find out that they are much less terrifying compared to previous months. For instance, the US reported only 7 COVID deaths on yesterday, September 18, along with just 7,065 infections. Otherwise, the US remains the hardest-hit country by the coronavirus pandemic, as it reported a total of over 97.5 million infections and more than one million deaths since COVID reached the country over 2 and a half years ago.
