Doctor From the USA Refuses to Treat Anyone Who Isn’t Vaccinated Against COVID-19

It seems like there’s no messing around when it comes to COVID-19 vaccination. Authorities believe that getting vaccinated for the pandemic disease is the best way to stop the spread of the virus. The Delta strain that was discovered in India causes a surge in infections, concerning a lot of people.

But is it really safe to get vaccinated? We’re all aware by now of the side effects.

Alabama doctor refuses to treat unvaccinated patients

A doctor from the American state of Alabama launches a harsh statement via Facebook, saying that he is not willing to treat anyone who hasn’t got vaccinated for COVID-19.

The doctor’s name is Jason Valentine, and he’s a physician at at Diagnostic and Medical Clinic Infirmary Health in Mobile.

Dr. Valentine motivated his decision by saying, according to The Independent:

Unfortunately, many have declined to take the vaccine, and some end up severely ill or dead. I cannot and will not force anyone to take the vaccine, but I also cannot continue to watch my patients suffer and die from an eminently preventable disease.

People didn’t hesitate to react to the Facebook post. The majority of people who saw the post seem to agree with the decision, judging by the number of “likes”.

According to Our World in Data, the world is generally responding well to the opportunity of getting vaccinated for COVID. 32% of the planet’s population has been vaccinated for the coronavirus with at least one dose. 24% are fully vaccinated. While 4.84 billion doses have been administered across the world, 34.95 million pieces are currently administered every day.

COVID-19 affects the lungs the most, and in some cases, it can kill the patient. According to worldometers.info, a total of more than 4.4 million people died because of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
