The ongoing COVID pandemic has been ravaging the USA for over a year. What seemed to many as “just a flu”, looking at what was happening in Wuhan (China) in early 2020, became one of the most terrible nightmares that the American nation ever had to face.

According to terrifying stats brought by worldometers.info, the USA has now officially reported more than 718,000 deaths caused by the coronavirus that’s making an entire planet tremble in fear. If we dive more into statistics related to the COVID pandemic in the US, we can see even more horrifying information.

The recent surge in the number of COVID infections from the US is mostly caused by the highly infectious Delta variant that’s spreading incredibly fast. The horrifying negative record of over 700,000 COVID deaths in the US comes despite the fact that the country reached back in August the vaccination goal announced by President Joe Biden. The American President set back in May the objective to vaccinate at least 70 percent of adults with at least one of the necessary doses.

Joe Biden is one of the public figures who are extremely concerned about the population’s health when it comes to the COVID pandemic. The US President even had his COVID booster shot on live television, and he declared:

Now, I know it doesn’t look like it, but I am over 65. And that’s why I am getting my booster shot today.

As for the rest of the world, things aren’t going too well, either. The COVID pandemic has caused a total number of 4.8 million deaths worldwide, also according to data from worldometers.info.
