Moderna has been making lots of headlines lately due to the vaccine that they’re getting ready by the end of 2020.

Tests have reportedly entered the final phase, and this sparked massive enthusiasm around the world.

On the other hand, it’s been recently revealed that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said recently that an effective coronavirus vaccine could require multiple doses

“None of the vaccines at this point appear like they’ll work with a single dose,” Gates told CBS News.

Here’s the price you’ll have to pay for immunization

Now, it’s been revealed that the biotech company is seeking to sell the vaccine for around $25-$30 for a dose according to the latest reports coming from the Financial Times.

It’s been also revealed that the vaccine would be delivered as a two-dose course and this means that the complete immunization would cost somewhere between $50 and $60.

Barrons.com reported that this price “is well above the other known prices set by companies developing Covid-19 vaccines so far. Pfizer (PFE), which unlike Moderna took no government money to develop its vaccine, is charging developed countries roughly $20 a dose, or $40 per treatment course.”

And “the Financial Times said that one analyst puts the amount AstraZeneca (AZN) charged a consortium of European nations for its Covid-19 vaccine at $3 and $4 per dose.”

Coronavirus to pass on its own?

In other news, it’s been reported that the danger of coronavirus could pass soon, according to the latest reports. An Italian infectious disease expert believes that the virus is becoming less and less dangerous, and it could eventually disappear without a vaccine, on its own.

Dr. Matteo Bassetti is the head of the infectious diseases clinic at the San Martino hospital, and he just said the virus appears to have become less potent.
