It’s been recently revealed that there are a lot of patients who received hospital treatment for Covid-19 who have developed long-term health-related problems, says a large-scale study from China.
Experts found that there’s 76% of the people discharged from a hospital in Wuhan, which is the city at the heart of the outbreak who still showed at least one symptom that’s associated with the disease 6 months later.

The Coronavirus Pandemic online publication notes that fatigue and sleep difficulties and these reported;y occurred in 63 percent and 26 percent of the patients, respectively, were the most common problems.
It’s also been revealed that to the surprise of the researchers, there are more than a third of the patients showed signs of kidney malfunction.
The bad news doesn’t end here, as this led to problems such as an increase in bodily waste in the blood and increased the risk of sexual dysfunction.
“Longer follow-up studies in a larger population are necessary to understand the full spectrum of health consequences from Covid-19,” the team led Dr. Cao Bin, from the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, wrote in a paper published in The Lancet on Friday.
