ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) can make the patient develop pretty ugly symptoms that would make him have an unpleasant social life. He can deal with trouble concentrating on his tasks, moving around too often, talking excessively, being unable to wait their turn, and more.

Eating the right food is a crucial part of having a healthy life, and it could also apply in the case of having fewer chances of dealing with ADHD or at least developing fewer symptoms. New research that SciTechDaily reveals claims that eating enough fruits and vegetables can be a good way of not dealing too much with the disorder.

Two surveys were initiated

Parents of children dealing with ADHD had to complete a survey where they had to describe what meals the little ones consumed, as well as their portion sizes, over the course of 90 days.

For the second survey, parents had to rate the inattention symptoms of their offspring.

The results have shown that those children who had less severe inattention symptoms were those who consumed more fruits and vegetables.

Irene Hatsu, who’s a co-author of the new research, stated as SciTechDaily quotes:

Eating a healthy diet, including fruits and vegetables, may be one way to reduce some of the symptoms of ADHD.

Hatsu is also confident that a healthy diet containing all the nutrients that kids need is indeed useful in battling ADHD symptoms.

Treating ADHD symptoms for kids is certainly more difficult than many would expect. Another study that we spoke about at the beginning of the month indicated that ADHD medication hadn’t been proven useful when it comes to the amount of learning that the little ones had in school.

The new study about the right foods to tackle ADHD was published in Nutritional Neuroscience
