Unfortunately, the coronavirus causing the COVID-19 disease doesn’t care how wealthy, famous, successful, smart, or pretty you are. Once again, we find strong proof for that, as former US President Barrack Obama tested positive for COVID.

Mr. Obama revealed the news himself via Twitter, adding that he feels fine overall despite having a scratchy throat. He also added that he and his wife are grateful to be vaccinated and ‘boosted’ for the virus.

If we take a look at how the situation unfolds lately in the USA, we can see that the country is going through relatively good times. There are only a few thousand infections nationwide each day in recent days, according to information provided by worldometers.info. The same source claims that since the beginning of the still-ongoing COVID pandemic, the USA has reported a total number of over 81.1 million infections and more than 993,600 deaths caused by the coronavirus.

Luckily, in 2022, the world has plenty of ways to fight the coronavirus. New microbial air filters have shown during tests that they’re capable of rapidly killing the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Dr. Felicity de Cogan from the University of Birmingham stated as quoted by the University’s website:

Most ventilation systems recycle air through the system, and the filters currently being used in these systems are not normally designed to prevent the spread of pathogens, only to block air particles. This means filters can actually act as a potential reservoir for harmful pathogens. We are excited that we have been able to develop a filter treatment which can kill bacteria, fungi and viruses – including SARS-CoV-2 – in seconds. This addresses a global un-met need and could help clean the air in enclosed spaces, helping to prevent the spread of respiratory disease.

We strongly hope that Barrack Obama will fully recover!
