The new Delta variant of COVID ravages the US and different parts of the world, according to medical experts. The new strain is more infectious than the others. Nobody knows when the horror will finally end. Surely everyone wants the world to return to normal.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been deeply involved in studying the coronavirus and how it affects people. NPR.com announces that the Government agency has recently published new data about how dangerous the Delta strain for COVID is and how vaccinated people behave as exposed to it.
Even if you’re vaccinated, you can still pass the Delta variant to another person
As a result of the CDC’s new worrying conclusions, Walmart is imposing drastic measures. The largest company on the planet urges managers to get vaccinated. Furthermore, it imposes all of its workers to wear a facemask if they’re performing their activity indoors and in high-risk areas.

Reuters reveals that the Delta variant, which was first detected in India, can now be found in over 80% of all the new cases in the US. The strain has also been detected in over 90 countries. That practically means half of the planet!
Also, according to Reuters, parts of the world such as Tokyo, Malaysia, and Thailand have announced record COVID infections on Saturday. As you’ve already guessed, they’ve been mostly driven by the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
Our World in Data reveals that 28.2% of the entire world population has been vaccinated for COVID with at least the first dose. As for low-income countries, this is where things aren’t looking as expected: only 1.1% of those living there had received at least the first vaccine dose for the coronavirus.
