You are probably aware of the fact that GoFundMe managed to cancel the fundraiser for the truckers in Canada who are protesting for freedom and against the coronavirus restrictions.

It’s been just revealed that Sen. Ted Cruz sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission asking them to open an investigation into GoFundMe after the company canceled a fundraiser for truckers in Canada.

“Today I sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission asking that the FTC open an investigation into GoFundMe into whether they’ve committed deceptive trade practices.”

This is what Cruz told Fox News on Sunday. He continued and explained:

“Because when people gave money, they gave money under the promise it would go to the Freedom Convoy, not to whatever left-wing political ideology GoFundMe and other Silicon Valley companies support. They are deceiving consumers and it is wrong.”

Just in case you don’t know what’s this all about, Cruz’s comments come after GoFundMe canceled the Freedom Convoy fundraiser after it had raised approximately C$10 million for the truckers and already distributed C$1 million of the funds.

It’s been also reported that GoFundMe initially said in-part that it was going to send the remainder of the funds to other “credible and established charities”:

Coronavirus in the news

Here’s some good news about the pandemic that’s been making our lives a living hell for the past two years.

Most headlines involve vaccines, treatments, and all kinds of terrifying data, more or less accurate or legit.

Few publications have been addressing the importance of a healthy lifestyle during this nightmare which will probably turn out to be the harshest period of our lifetimes.

We decided to reveal some amazing new info about the importance and efficiency of vitamin D.

The Times of Israel notes that scientists revealed the fact that they have gathered the most convincing evidence to date saying that increased vitamin D levels can help COVID-19 patients reduce the risk of serious illness or death.
