Refusing The Covid Vaccine: Do You Have The “Constitutional Right” To Do It?

Refusing The Covid Vaccine: Do You Have The “Constitutional Right” To Do It?

We’re living under the sign of the novel coronavirus for more than a year now, and normality has become a mere memory. People are questioning important issues, and freedom of choice is one of them. Amidst the pandemic, the necessity of making vaccination mandatory for everyone has already become a spiny subject. CNN is also addressing the issue, as you will see below.

Not too long ago, we revealed that the FDA had approved the Pfizer/ BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for people age 16 and older.

CNN notes that following this move, it’s time for all governments across the country to mandate the vaccine for people taking part in indoor activities.

“There are no more valid excuses for not being vaccinated other than health reasons,” CNN notes.

The same online publication also mentioned the fact that “one frequently heard pushback against vaccine mandates is that there is a “constitutional right” to choose whether to be vaccinated or not for adults and a right to determine whether children can be vaccinated.”

CNN continued and said that this is a non-starter in the midst of a pandemic.

“The government has the latitude to protect citizens from deadly conditions, especially when the science supporting vaccination is so clear.”

Mandatory vaccination

CNN also brings up the bioethicist, professor Arthur Caplan of New York University, who has made a compelling case for the moral mandate to require vaccination.

It’s been revealed that not too long ago, he appeared with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in a news briefing last month to address the city mandating vaccines for all municipal workers.

Back then, he said that the new policy “makes good, ethical and public health sense” and that “it will help all of us by keeping the COVID outbreak controlled.”

The issue is ongoing, and this is an extremely important debate that can not be concluded in a few phrases of an online article. What do you think? Should vaccination be made mandatory, at least among people working indoor?

Stay tuned for more relevant news, and make sure to stay safe as well.

  1. COVID 19 will never be eradicated. Allowing the government to take away people’s ability to make their own health choices will result in nothing positive. And you might want to check out the overall death increase while we are in this “pandemic”…it appears that the death % through the last two years has been pretty level and no noticeable increase. If the virus was causing deaths on top of what has been historical average, those numbers would show an increase. Kind of funny though, flu cases in the last flu season dropped by 90%. I think they just might be reclassifying a large portion of normal deaths to COVID related. Check out the data

      1. There are people getting covid who have the vaccine. They are still contagious to others. The vaccine is like a flu shot, there are different strains. Freedom of choice is what America is all about

  2. There is the issue of those who have already had COVID and have natural antibodies to it. A blanket mandate is not the answer. We are suppose to be the land of the free. One other issue is it is very difficult to find good employees. Businesses are closing their doors due to lack of employees, this mandate will depress the workforce even more.

  3. No, it should not be mandatory, there are side effects still being discovered everyday, we don’t know long term effects and its deciding our country. Its a persons right to choose. If one has cancer they have a right to decline the treatment, why is this different. The survival rate is over 95% for this virus, even for those hospitalized.

  4. Vaccine or not, that does not change the transfer of covid. Get covid and tell the screwed up medical community to research what is in this vaccine. AND give the medicine that helps get over it. My friend died in a hospital that gave no care to save him. They have no clue .

  5. I think that everyone that works with elder and the public it should be mandatory for the vaccine and then following the rest of the people should be mandated to be vaccinated to prevent the out spread and saving lives

  6. We are not alone. The media has become the 4th branch of goverment. They are in it together and propaganda is their MO. From democracy to communist principles being enforced in the US.

  7. I really think ALL nurses should be required to get the shot. They are taking care of transplant patients, heart and cancer patients. I DO NOT want one taking care of my family if not vaccines.

  9. Certain professions should be vaccine mandated, but everyone else should have the right to choose. Just as hospitals should have the right to choose not to treat anyone unvaccinated. NO ICU beds should be taken up by anyone who made the choice not be vaccinated…period!

  10. No it should be ones choice. We have had other viruses in the past with many people unfortunately dying. No mandatory jab then, no masks, no completely shutting down the world. With it’s recovery rate, why now. I do not feel we can trust what we’re being told about any of this. Why are so many vaccinated people getting sick ??? Too many lies and inconsistent info. Plus once we do , we are no longer a free nation.

  11. This is not true. What are the stats that show that the vaccine is causing people to be hospitalized and causing side-effects. Show proof that ivermectin works. Scientific fact. No just Brandon’s facts.

  12. What has happened in this country that all of a sudden people do not trust our medical experts and the facts that are being put out by the medical experts. It is embarrassing that you will not believe that this vaccine will help stop the spread of covid. Yes it is a flu virus but it is a very strong strain and has killed many people many more than the normal flu. but now all of a sudden everybody’s wrong and individuals that have no medical background at all are encouraging others not to get vaccinated. This is only hurting our country and is killing people. If you cannot understand that the vaccine is a good thing that’s your choice. I would you wouldnt you to expect to receive any treatment from any hospitals If I got covid and didn’t take the correct precautions.. I’m thinking that most people still expect to be treated in the hospital or by doctors if they get covid. The other thing is this is not just a problem happening in the United States this pandemic is worldwide. Look at the countries that have taken a strong stance on covid and how’s few cases they’ve had and very few deaths. Please stop making this a political thing. it is a flu virus that is killing people in our world take precautions to protect yourself And we could stop this virus in our country. It is up to the individual to decide but stop making it political.
