The coronavirus-related nightmare continues, and today, we’re addressing Germany and the message the country has for its people.

CNBC reveals that Germany’s health minister has issued a stark warning to the country’s public. The health minister told citizens that vaccination was the key to their survival.

“Some would say this is cynical but probably by the end of this winter, pretty much everyone in Germany will be vaccinated, recovered or dead … That’s the reality,” Jens Spahn told a press conference in Berlin on Monday.

The health minister blamed “the very contagious delta variant” for the country’s rapid surge in infections, which is seen as its fourth wave of the pandemic, Spahn said, “that is why we so urgently recommend vaccination.”

Germany considers whether to implement stricter Covid-19 measures and even a partial lockdown like its neighbor, the Netherlands, as cases continue to surge.

On Monday, more than 30,000 new cases were recorded. This is according to the Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases.

The same online publication mentioned above notes that amidst all this the following is happening:

“Germany has one of the lower vaccination rates in western Europe with 68% of its adult population fully vaccinated, but only 7% having received a booster shot.”

It’s been also revealed that boosters are needed because the immunity offered by vaccines wanes after around six months.

Covid pills can change the pandemic

There are a few vaccines and viable treatments against the novel coronavirus that could eventually end the pandemic. Check out the latest reports about the novel treatments below.

The New Yorker reveals that nack in march 2020, researchers at Emory University published a paper about a molecule called NHC/EIDD-2801.

It’s been revealed by the same article that at the time, there were no treatments available for the coronavirus.
