You are probably already aware of the fact that the latest covid variant called Omicron is all over the news.
The Omicron covid variant is making headlines all over the place, and people are freaking out like there’s no tomorrow. But how severe are the symptoms that this variant can trigger?
CNBC recently reported that covid symptoms linked to the new Omicron variant had been described as “extremely mild” by the South African doctor who first raised the alarm over the new strain.
Dr. Angelique Coetzee, chair of the South African Medical Association, told the BBC that the latest variant comes with really mild symptoms.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has been also in the spotlight for a while now and he made it in the headlines recently when he managed to freak people out with something that he said about Omicron.
Fauci testifies before the Senate

“Omicron, with its extraordinary, unprecedented degree of efficiency of transmissibility, will ultimately find just about everybody.”
This is what Dr. Anthony Fauci told J. Stephen Morrison, senior vice president of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
“Those who have been vaccinated … and boosted would get exposed. Some, maybe a lot of them, will get infected but will very likely, with some exceptions, do reasonably well in the sense of not having hospitalization and death.”
In contrast, those who are not vaccinated are “going to get the brunt of the severe aspect of this,” he also added.
