There has been a lot of fuss all over the Internet about the potential treatments against the covid 19 – the disease triggered by the novel coronavirus. While not everyone out there is excited about the covid vaccines due to fears involving potential side effects, a lot of people became more and more enthusiastic about potential and viable covid treatments.

WHO addresses viable covid treatments

It’s important to have new treatments for the disease that made the world pause for the past two years.

The FDA drops news about monoclonal antibodies 

The US FDA just disapproved of some treatments because they are ineffective against Omicron. On the other hand, the organization addressed what options remain that ARE effective.

Washington Post notes that The Food and Drug Administration on Monday took two monoclonal antibody therapies off the list of covid-19 treatments for now.

The organization revealed that the medications should not be used anywhere in the United States because they are ineffective against the dominant omicron variant.

“As a result, the Department of Health and Human Services, which distributes covid treatments to states, notified state health officials that it has halted distribution of the antibody medications made by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly, according to an email sent to the states and obtained by The Washington Post.”
