More publications are addressing a new nightmare that will be keeping people awake at night.
Times of Israel begins by noting that Israel confirmed its first case of an individual who is infected with both the seasonal flu and covid 19 at the same time.
“The two infections were found in an unvaccinated pregnant woman who had mild symptoms, Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva said.”
The same article notes the fact that some reports suggested this marked the first such dual case in the world, but reports of patients with both flu and covid 19 surfaced in the US as early as spring 2020.
“Israel has seen a spike in flu cases in recent weeks, with close to 2,000 people hospitalized amid fears of a “twindemic” of the two diseases.”
The term is also referring to fears stemming from the fact that large numbers of flu cases and covid cases could overwhelm hospitals.
“The disease is the same disease. They’re viral and cause difficulty breathing since both attack the upper respiratory tract.”
This is what Arnon Vizhnitser, the director of the hospital’s gynecology department said.
The Daily Beast online publication also notes that the nightmare combination flurona follows the emergence in Europe of Delmicron.
This is: “a combination of Delta and Omicron variants in covid 19 that has caused more severe symptoms in some patients, especially those who have not been vaccinated.”

Now, it’s been revealed by the online publication Japan Times that experts in Tokyo are developing a “dream” covid 19 vaccine that offers lifetime efficacy.
