The novel coronavirus seems to be here to stay for a while longer. The vaccines for the novel virus are problematic and more people are refusing to get the shots due to their potential side effects.
These have been discussed by experts a lot, and it’s more than obvious that the talks about these more or less severe effects are set to continue.
As I already mentioned a while ago, all these issues about the coronavirus vaccines have been tearing the world into two massive camps: the individuals who believe that the vaccines should eventually become mandatory, and the ones who become more and more cautious about them, especially considering all their potential side effects and the fact that they have not been studied long enough; not to mention the issues regarding freedom of choice.
All in all, accurate info and reliable sources are vital, along with a correct balance between the pros and cons of all the available options amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
More side effects are under scrutiny these days
It’s been just revealed that three new conditions reported by a small number of people after vaccination with COVID-19 shots from Pfizer (PFE.N) and Moderna (MRNA.O) are being studied to assess if they may be possible side-effects – this is what Europe’s drugs regulator said on Wednesday, as cited by Reuters press agency.
“Erythema multiforme, a form of allergic skin reaction; glomerulonephritis or kidney inflammation; and nephrotic syndrome, a renal disorder characterised by heavy urinary protein losses,” – all these are being studied by the safety committee of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), according to the regulator.
It’s been also revealed that the EMA found a possible link between very rare heart inflammation and the mRNA vaccines.
On the other hand, the European regulator and the World Health Organization have stressed that the benefits from these vaccines are outweighing any risks.
Delta variant in the news
In other news, as you probably know by now, the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus has been making headlines all over the world media these days due to the massive dangers that this variant of the virus poses for people.
The Delta Covid variant is ruling all the other strains across the globe. It’s been already revealed that the Delta variant is the most dangerous one so far, according to more expert opinions across the globe.
This highly transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus, which is causing the disease Covid 19, will soon become the dominant strain globally in the upcoming months.
