Mainstream Media Notes That Flawed Covid Tests Convinced People That The Pandemic Was Worse

According to the latest reports coming from the mainstream media, it seems that the covid tests have been flawed in such a way to convince people that the pandemic was worse than it really was. Check out the latest news about this below.

Mainstream media addressed flawed covid tests

This has reportedly been one of the most enduring Covid conspiracy theories: that the ‘gold standard’ PCR tests used to diagnose the virus were picking up people who weren’t actually infected.

“Some even suggested the swabs, which have been carried out more than 200 million times in the UK alone, may mistake common colds and flu for corona,” according to the online publication Daily Mail.

If either, or both, were true, it would mean many of these cases should never have been counted in the daily tally – that the ominous and all-too-familiar figure, which was used to inform decisions on lockdowns and other pandemic measures, was an over-count.

“And many of those who were ‘pinged’ and forced to isolate as a contact of someone who tested positive – causing a huge strain on the economy – did so unnecessarily,” the online pubcalition continued and stated.

Such statements, it must be said, have been roundly dismissed by top experts. And those scientists willing to give credence such concerns have been shouted down on social media, accused of being ‘Covid-deniers’, and even sidelined by colleagues.

Covid vaccines in the news – FDA updates covid 19 vaccine scheme

According to the latest reports, the Food and Drug Administration authorized a second omicron-targeted bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccine for people over 65 or who are immunocompromised, the agency announced Tuesday.

The agency also said any adult who has not yet been vaccinated would get one dose of an updated bivalent shot, rather than starting with the original vaccine and receiving the bivalent shot as a booster. The FDA is withdrawing authorization for those older COVID-19 vaccines targeting the original strain of the virus.

“It’s part of an overall move to simplify the COVID-19 vaccination process, the agency said in a statement,” ABC News posted in a recent article.

The online publication continued and said: “United States regulators are shifting towards a flu shot-like model for COVID-19 vaccines, where people get a single shot every year that’s updated annually to match the virus strain predicted to be in circulation.”
