The novel coronavirus is still making troubles all around the world. The vaccines and viable treatments seemed the only hope for humanity, but these have been raising all kinds of issues as well.
Not too long ago, we revealed that the COVID vaccine developed by Moderna was administered to many people worldwide. But now, when a lot of countries are preparing to return to normal, without restrictions and masks, Moderna had an important announcement.
Melissa Moore, who is the chief scientific officer of Moderna, revealed what many scientists were afraid of:
As the virus spreads, it is rapidly mutating,
Some of these new viral strains appear to be even more transmissible than the original strain.
Moore also added:
We already know that some of these new strains are less susceptible to neutralization by our current vaccine.
WHO releases terrible warning abut Delta covid variant
Now, it’s been revealed that the WHO has an extremely important warning.
CNBC noted that WHO released a terrible warning about the novel Delta covid variant.
This highly contagious Delta variant is the fastest and fittest coronavirus strain yet, and it will “pick off” the most vulnerable people, especially in places with low Covid-19 vaccination rates, World Health Organization officials warned Monday.
Delta, first identified in India, has the potential “to be more lethal because it’s more efficient in the way it transmits between humans and it will eventually find those vulnerable individuals who will become severely ill, have to be hospitalized and potentially die,” Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO’s health emergencies program, said during a news conference.
“We can protect those vulnerable people, those front-line workers,” Ryan said, “and the fact that we haven’t, as Director-General has said, again and again, is a catastrophic moral failure at a global level.”
