Severe illness as a result of COVID infection isn’t something to be taken lightly at all. Getting hospitalized, staying connected to a ventilator, and even risking death are certainly not scenarios that anyone could wish for.

According to Daily Mail, flu shots could help prevent severe illness for COVID-19 patients. A new study finds that people who were injected with flu shots up to six months before getting infected with COVID were 58% less likely to go to the ER and 40% less likely to develop lethal blood clots. The new study compared medical records for COVID patients who got and haven’t gotten the flu vaccine.

More research is still needed

There’s no use opening the champagne just yet. More research on the matter is needed in order to determine how flu shots can provide protection against COVID.

Researchers from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine had been studying the medical records of almost 75,000 COVID-19 patients.

Susan Taghioff, who’s the lead author of the study and a researcher at the University of Miami, declared as quoted by Daily Mail:

Influenza vaccination may even benefit individuals hesitant to receive a COVID-19 vaccine due to the newness of the technology,

Despite this, the influenza vaccine is by no means a replacement for the COVID-19 vaccine and we advocate for everyone to receive their COVID-19 vaccine if able to.

Taghioff also added, as quoted by the same publication:

Regardless of the degree of protection afforded by the influenza vaccine against adverse outcomes associated with COVID-19, simply being able to conserve global healthcare resources by keeping the number of influenza cases under control is reason enough to champion continued efforts to promote influenza vaccination.

The researchers are optimistic that flu vaccination may turn out to be a useful COVID mitigation tactic for countries where there’s no access yet to COVID vaccines.

  1. What right does anyone or the gov demand you put something in your body that the fda has not approved. It also could go against your religious rights not to be injected with anything no matter what. I feel it’s everyone’s right to decide for themselves to be vaccinated or not

  2. August 8 report out of Israel …

“95% of the severe patients are vaccinated”.
“85-90% of the hospitalizations are in Fully vaccinated people.”
“We are opening more and more COVID wards.”
“The effectiveness of the vaccine is waning/fading out”

With their scurrilous motives revealed relative to COVID-19 “jabs”, Biden and his Democrat/Media crime-family may have done irreparable harm to the vaccine industry.

There will be less … much less … flu shots taken this year … and the possibility is real that they will even deceive those who turn up!
