Is Green Tea As Effective As We Believe?

Green tea is known to bring many benefits to the body. But is green tea as effective as we believe? Experts show that the green tea is good but not as effective as we believe when used alone.

Green Tea properties

Recognized as one of the best sources of antioxidants, the green tea also contains many other beneficial substances, including thein, tannin, amino acids, proteins, calcium, iron, fluorine, and essential oils.

Nutritionists recommend green tea especially for its diuretic, depurative, and brain stimulant properties, as well as to combat the harmful action of free radicals.

In addition, it is proven that green tea favors fat burning, helping to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.

Green Tea is not a ‘magical’ plant

The best-selling author, Dr. Josh Axe, is believing that green tea is not helpful when it is the only change we do to our dietary habits. Instead, green tea should be just one part of the all dietary changes we have to make to be slimmer, more beautiful, and healthier.

According to Dr. Axe, a balanced diet is a key to a healthy and happy life. Therefore, green tea is not enough to achieve this goal.

Also, drinking enough water daily, reducing the unhealthy fats consumption, eating fruits and vegetable are just a few of the additional changes someone has to make besides drinking one cup of green tea on a daily basis.

Green Tea for weight loss

As we all know, the green tea is usually advertised as a great method to lose weight fast. However, according to Dr. Axe, green tea is not helpful by itself, so a balanced diet and regular physical exercises routine are also needed.

Additionally, Dr. Axe recommends people to opt for the natural form of green tea and to avoid green tea extracts weight loss supplements which are containing very concentrated green tea forms which are not recommended for people suffering from renal disorders and cardiovascular conditions.
