Grains are a complex source of carbohydrates, which helps the body to be energized for a good period of time. These are an excellent snack before any physical activity. Before going to the gym you can eat grains with yogurt or a portion of brown rice.
Bananas contain potassium, an extremely important nutritional element that keeps your muscles and nerves healthy. It is advisable to eat a banana before you start training because the sugars contained can quickly turn into energy. You can prepare a quick snack from a banana that you spread on a slice of whole bread, over which you sprinkle a little cinnamon. This way, you will give the body two types of carbohydrates: simple (from the banana and you will feed it with energy) and complexes (from bread, which will help you maintain the level of high energy).
As well as bananas, apples are of use to you in times when you need energy quickly. Being a lightly digesting fruit is advisable to consume it about an hour before going to the gym. However, if you want to support a more demanding workout, add 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter and some nuts.
