An Australian teen from Melbourne Australia was having fun at the beach when he was attacked. The teen, named Sam Kanizay, was at the Brighton’s Dendy Street Beach where he was playing soccer with his friends. After the game he decided to soak his legs in the water.

The visit to the beach turned bloody and scary

On Saturday, the teen oaks his legs in water after a soccer game in order to rest his muscles. He never imagines what was about to happen. After he got out of the water, the teen taught his legs were covered in sand and tried to remove it. To his surprise, what he taught to be sand was actually blood. His legs and feet were covered in blood.

Sam’s parents opens up

Jarrod Kanizay, Sam’s father said that his son called for him. He did not mention what happened but instructed him to come fast. To his surprise, the father noticed tiny bites on his son’s legs. The bites seemed as if he had been pricked many times with a pin or needle. Jane Kanizay, Sam’s mother said that she tried to clean the blood and realized it couldn’t be washed away.  They took their son to the local hospital, were doctors tried to stem the blood flow. They did not manage to do so since the blood continued to run from the pinhole bites. The teenager was in severe pain and the father decided to return to the beach and understand what happened. He threw raw meat into the water and much o his dismay; he noticed hundreds of mites about 2 mm long. He decided to videotape this occurrence and post it online of YouTube. The doctors realized that the anticoagulant released by the mites were causing the severe bleeding.
